PRAYER TIMES AT THE WORKPLACE

Welcome to another interesting episode of our blog,
This time we will be talking about prayer times at the workplace.
In our everyday lives, there’s time alloted for everything we do, breakfast, resumption at work, lunch, picking the kids from school and all the errands we have to attend to.
In between all these, there’s an assigned time scheduled solely for our creator,
So how do we manage to put all these into perspective without missing the time meant for the real purpose of our creation?
At work we equally have a lot of activities that we need to take into consideration
Deadlines,
Meetings,
Targets,
Impromptu Assignments…….and everything that comes with being at the workplace, how do we fit in the times for prayer in between.
I’m going to outline some tips on how to manage our prayer times without impacting negatively on our work
First, Set your goals for the day, bearing in mind that there’s a prayer time that needs to be attended to, we need to understand that prayer times are important and are to be taken seriously, We should make it known to our colleagues calmly, that at a particular time, you will have to take a break from normal work activity to pray.
Secondly, for most of us our lunch period coincides with prayer times, time management comes into play here, you can set aside certain minutes for your lunch break and the rest for your prayer. Luckily, most of the time we do not need that much time to say our daily prayers. 10-15 minutes is enough time for us!
Finally, we should be time conscious, not just for prayer times but in all our dealings. This will go a long way in curbing our African time behavior and delay in prayer times.
As my favorite saying goes; Time is money, Knowledge is Power.
